Pruvotfolia is a genus raised by Tardy in 1969 based on the existence, and characteristic arrangement of,
specially modified reproductive cerata. The gonopore, or genital orifice, is located in proximity to the first row of cerata on the right side.
It has a swollen appearance that is described as “fleshy and non-retractable” and is associated with quite small
(difficult to observe with the naked eye) modified cerata that contribute in the copulation process.
Its position is indicated in the image below by a white arrow.
