"This species is named for its likeness to the Burgess Shale "onycophoran" hallucigenia sparsa Morris, 1977, as reconstructed by lars Ramskold (1992). Living onycophorans are very rare, terrestrial, Gondwanan creatures that have characters intermediate between those of annelid worms and arthropds. Their common name is "velvet worms". |
