"We find Tambja tenuilineata right across the Gneering Shoals and at Old Woman Island on a regular basis and always with the black longitudinal stripes on its body. However as these two pics below show we have it found it twice now on the HMAS Brisbane wreck, 12 months apart and both times the specimens have not had the black stripes but instead present with wrinked skin in lieu. Conversely we have not found it on the Brisbane with the black stripes. Richard Willan is of the opinion that non-striped specimens are a colour form of Tambja tenuilineata."

This animal was found on the HMAS Brisbane wreck and has no stripes.
