Comments: This species is similar in appearance to Tambja sagamiana except that the colours of the body and the large spots are reversed. We are of the opinion that because it appears different we should not just assume it is the same. It should be treated as different and kept separate until such time as it is examined properly. Some authorities are referring to it as Tambja cf. verconis.
